Leaks may only show under certain conditions
A pressure-side issue may become more obvious while the system is operating. A suction-side fault may pull air in rather than visibly drip water.
That is why the pattern matters: whether the pool loses more water with the pump on or off, whether bubbles appear at returns, and whether the pump basket struggles to remain full.
